On-board block AT-Micro
Description

The on-board block -Micro is intended for operation as a part of the AutoTracker motor vehicle remote tracking and control system. The block performs the following functions:
Detection of a vehicle location, speed and condition (upon demand or in preset periods of time)
Route control (entry/exit from the preset territory zones)
Route and event log stored in the on-board block
Independent odometers (for current and total mileage)
Discrete/analog sensors activation control (up to 3 entries)
Sensor circuits connection integrity control
Detection of start of a vehicles motion (a built-in accelerometer)
Connection and management of external devices (up to 2 exits)
Control over fulfillment of the established route assignment (permitted, prohibited and mandatory actions for each of the pre-determined territory zones)
Bilateral data exchange with the AutoTracker server
Storing of the settings and the log in nonvolatile memory
Update of the internal application software
Management of the built-in backup accumulator charging
For exchanging data with the AutoTracker systems server, ҖMicro can use various services of the GSM-standard mobile networks. For operation in networks of other standards (CDMA, 3G, tracking, satellite, etc.) the device can be equipped with a suitable external modem.
ҖMicro performs preparatory processing of initial data and transfers to the AutoTracker server only the resulting compact information in the compressed form. Data exchange method (GPRS, CSD or SMS) is selected by the system automatically depending on availability and cost of these services in a given geographical location. Successful delivery of data to the both sides is controlled by the system. Such approach allows to significantly reduce communication expenses in the process of the system operation and to guarantee its stable work.
The block can operate in various modes depending on the vehicles motion, energy saving requirements, secrecy, mode of protection, etc., and to use various mobile communication services GPRS, CSD or SMS. Adjustment of each of the modes and criteria for switching between them is carried out in the AutoTracker system software.
AT-Micro comes in a compact drop-proof plastic case, which imitates vehicles standard devices. Components minimally required for the device operation, including the GPS and GSM antennas and a backup accumulator, are placed inside the case. There are no control devices, indicators or connectors on the case. In order to prevent unauthorized interference in the system operation, the block case is equipped with an anti-tamper switch.
